For small accounts, the only link you can have is a link in the 'bio' part of your profile which describes who you are. But you need a lot of followers to access that functionality. If you've noticed 'swipe up' posts which allow readers to click on a link, they can work really well. It is primarily a photograph and video platform which doesn't allow links in posts. Sharing a direct link to blog posts and products on Facebook and LinkedIn is straightforward, you just share the link in your update. This is designed to help your followers to find out more about an image you've posted. What is a Bio Link?Ī Bio Link is the part of your profile (in this case, on Instagram) that contains a link to your website. So I set about finding a way to create a beautiful bio link for Instagram. With lots of links, my Linktree was getting long and looked a bit (dare I say) boring. It's a great way to share links to our shop and our blog posts. You might not have 9 pillars, it might be just 3 or 6! There’s no right or wrong.We love Instagram. For me personally, I have to communicate a range of services and offerings with my community and have broken these down into the graphic below for you. These 9 pillars are 9 different squares on the grid. I have 9 content pillars that at any one time I have to share and promote on socials. I’m going to use my business as an example here! These are crucial to your strategy and will help massively with those moments of not knowing what to post. Once you have all of these we can work out your content pillars. This will allow you to communicate and create these things through your content. Now you know these, It’s time to map out your services, what you offer and what your point of difference is. ![]() It might sounds really basic but if you’re not sure what you want to offer then you’ll find it hard to communicate that visually. You need might already know these but if you don’t I think it’s really important to know what your business and service is, who you are and what you want to share with your audience. I find good old pen and paper really helps me here. When coming up with your strategy, it’s really important to brainstorm. Some of you might be wondering what content pillars are? Well, I’m here to help with that! Having a strategy helps pave the way and gives you direction but also helps in developing content pillars.
